INGREIENTS:
- 1 cup dry (Goya) Black Eyed Peas
- Any broth or stock, to cover
- 1 dried Shiitake or brown mushroom
- 1 bay leaf
- Penzeys “Southwest Seasoning”, approx 2 pinches
- Slice of smoked bacon or salt pork, sautéed
Sometimes I use a slice of tomato if I have one in the fridge.
Serve with Kale or Collard greens
